Fondation Amal held a cook-off at New City Gas yesterday to raise funds for children with chronic illness. The restaurants and chefs in attendance: Antonio Park of Park, Fisun Erkan of Su and BarBounya, Sergio Mattoscio of Macaroni Bar, Alexandre Gosselin of Chez Victoire and Adam Aspelund of Ludger.
The straightforward format saw each team prepare one dish, with patrons voting on their favourites. Mattoscio's porchetta and Park's maki came close but Ludger's Aspelund emerged triumphant with his smoked ricotta and braised pork flank agnolotti. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Children's Wish Foundation and Fondation Amal.
