Iwashi's New Menu Awash in Izakaya Goodness

Café Sardine's nightly izakaya, Iwashi, unveiled its menu recently. Chef Hachiro Fujise, late of Toronto's Marben and Guu, is the kitchen talent behind the new experiment, which features such items as a sardine escabeche with dashi, mizuna, seaweed vinaigrette and crème fraîche and, from the looks of it, authentic, honest-to-goodness ramen. Libations-wise, the concept stays true with a strong sake selection, a few Japanese-inspired cocktails, Sapporo and Pabst tallboys.
