The north side of Notre-Dame Ouest between Charlevoix and Vinet went under the knife this weekend for Pawn Sacrifice, the new film from director Ed Zwick (Blood Diamond, The Last Samurai). The chess drama stars Tobey Maguire as Bobby Fischer and Liev Schrieber as Boris Spassky. Peter Sarsgaard also stars. Café Lili & Oli and Dave McMillan and Fred Morin's Le Vin Papillon, Liverpool House and Joe Beef all got façade facelifts for the film shoot but will be open for business as usual this week.
