Chopped, the popular competition show from the Food Network with host Ted Allen and regulars like Alex Guarnaschelli, Geoffrey Zakarian, Amanda Freitag and Aarón Sanchez, is on the hunt for professional chefs from Canada. Yes, Chopped Canada will hit television sets sometime in 2014.

The premise for the Food Network Canada version is the same: Each week, four chefs will transform baskets of mystery ingredients into three-course meals for a panel of experts. Course by course, chefs are "chopped" - i.e. eliminated - until one remains. The last chef to make the cut takes home $10,000.

Hopeful contestants have until December 20 to apply.
