The 9th annual Canadian Cancer Society's Gala des Grands Chefs took place last night at Marché Bonsecours in Old Montreal, with 550 patrons in attendance. Chefs Jonathan Garnier (La Guilde Culinaire), Helena Loureiro (Helena), Caroline Dumas (SoupeSoup), Daren Bergeron (Fou D'Ici), Oliver de Volpi (McGill University executive chef and architect of the world's largest fruit salad) and Juliette Brun (Juliette et Chocolat) were each responsible for one course. Other notable contributors: sommelier Benoît Lajeunesse (Bien Boire) and bakers Marc-André Cyr and Julien Roy (Le Pain Dans Les Voiles). [Canadian Cancer Society]
