A constellation of Michelin stars have come to Montreal this week. First Pierre Gagnaire, in town with molecular gastronomy pioneer Hervé This, then Andoni Luis Aduriz of Basque Spain's Mugaritz.
Now comes word from Mile End's Nouveau Palais of a dinner this Sunday with chef Christophe Dufau of Les Bacchanales in Vence, a small commune between Nice and Antibes in France's Côte d'Azur.
The Michelin Red Guide for France describes chef Dufau's one-star restaurant as one that "offers creative, market sourced fare that is as fresh as can be and constantly changing."
Dufau is not averse to constant change himself and often travels for collaborative dinners with chef pals in various corners of the world. This time around his partner on the line will be Nouveau Palais chef and co-owner Gita Seaton.
The dinner this Sunday, December 1 at 7:00 p.m. will feature five courses at a very reasonable $35 (tax, tip, booze extra). See below for more info.
