A recent publicity campaign by Canada's bellwether meat processor to win over the youth demographic with edgy odes to sad rip-offs of Montreal's Epic Meal Time recently got ugly.
Schneiders first went frankenfood on Facebook here and here. But with Hot Rod (as in Hot Rod, itself a disgrace to Karnatzel) poutine, the division of Maple Leaf Foods Inc. has gone too far.
With this grisly new turn, can the company truly still declare with confidence that "people trust Schneiders because they know we have remained true to the values J. M. Schneider established over 100 years ago"?
