Le Gladstone is the most recent restaurant to hit the scene in Westmount. Owner Yvon Creton and sons Maxime and Raphaël also run À L'Aventure in Place Jacques-Cartier, Old Montreal. The French/continental bistro takes over the space once held by longtime cake emporium Calories, across from Tavern on the Square.
From the looks of it, the food at the Ste-Catherine Ouest spot will not stray far from the classics. The menu sports typical standards like onion soup gratinée, foie gras and brioche, croque monsieur, faux-filet and bavette. No word on hours: the new restaurant has yet to launch a website or Facebook page and @LeGladstone is short on intel so far.
