Furco, Downtown wine bar and 5 à 7 standby, has a new sister boîte mere steps away on rue Mayor. Café Parvis, the former Paradise Fur, is, ostensibly, a Furco, Buvette Chez Simone production, thanks to principals like Éric Bélanger, Jean-François Gladu, Zébulon Perron and Simone Chevalot.
Of note, on the menu: Romano-style square pizza. Parvis is open from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. for now but that is likely to change when the alcohol permit comes in this week.
Oh and that name. A parvis is "a single portico, colonnade or courtyard before a church." The church, in this case of course, is St. James United.
