Junior, the new Filipino restaurant on Notre-Dame Ouest in Griffintown from DJ brothers Jojo and Toddy Flores, Julian Somera and David Pendon, is open as of today.
ICYMI, Montreal has not seen the likes of a purely Pinoy restaurant like this before.
Pendon, who works for wine agency Oenopole and who will helm the beverage program at the restaurant, told Eater last month that the objective was to invoke a Makati marketplace in style and substance. Artist and muralist Gene Pendon, David's brother, drew on family trips to the Philippines to accomplish the task. The kitchen staff includes a seasoned Filipino cook with a diverse restaurant background.
Junior is now open Wednesday, Thursday from 5:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. and Friday, Saturday from 5:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. Have a look at the space below.
