Eater Awards week gets underway with a bang, as of now, with the coveted Restaurant of the Year poll.
The fifth annual Eater Awards will take place on Monday, November 17, with winners selected on both the local and U.S. national levels.
This is how it works: Eater editors have named nominees for each of five major categories. Eater readers will vote to narrow the nominees to three finalists. From those three finalists, the Eater editorial team will select a winner.
These five Montreal restaurants garnered some of the best reviews of 2014 from critics and diners. And in a year that saw a tsunami of new restaurants, this bunch seems to possess that elusive x-factor that helps a place triumph beyond fickle tastes and trends. Or so one hopes.
With that, vote now for Les Coudes sur la Table, Manitoba, Salmigondis, Le Serpent and Le Shinji. Later in the week: Chef of the Year, So Hot Right Now, Bartender of the Year and Stone Cold Stunner.
