Has Montreal Hit Peak Grilled Cheese Sandwich?

Montreal is awash in every child's favourite after-school snack.

Back in late October, Le Cheese in N.D.G. announced a parade of stunt grilled cheeses slated for the entire month of November. Creations include a "Perogie [sic] Grilled Cheese", "Cherry Coke Pulled Pork Grilled Cheese" and "Smoked Meat and Pickled Carrots Grilled Cheese."

Not to be outdone, L'Gros Luxe decided to devote November to the grilled cheese sandwich as well. Among others, look for a "Grilled Cheese au Pomme de Terre Grillées" and "Grilled Cheese au Thon" from the Plateau and Mile End snack bar.

Now bartender Tony Galdes of B1 reports that popular grilled cheese food truck P.A. & Gargantua will partner with his Latin Quarter bar.

Four P.A. & Gargantua grilled cheese sandwiches will be on the menu at B1, as of Tuesday. All made fresh to order at the bar, with a choice of coleslaw or soup.
