Middle Eastern vegetarian and vegan restaurant Omnivore has added much-needed kitchen capacity with the takeover of the old La Chilenita at 64 Marie-Anne Ouest. Owner Akram Slezman says it was long overdue.
"Our kitchen is small. This space is a lot bigger so the new kitchen will serve our original restaurant [4351 Saint-Laurent] and help us boost our catering. That's where we want to concentrate our efforts."
Customers at the new Omnivore will still be able to sit down, however. Slezman adds that the space will have about 10 to 12 bar chairs and benches for people to enjoy Omnivore's array of prepared dishes.
Look for the new Omnivore to open to the public on Monday, December 15.
