Nacho Libre Offers Rape Joke Apology

While rape culture is still #lol for some Nacho Libre patrons, the bar made the wiseguy decision to post an apology on Facebook today. The translation of the French-only mea culpa:

To whom it may concern,

We are aware and very sensitive to the controversy raised by posts recently published on our Facebook page. We wish to clarify that in no case was it our intention to offend, insult anyone or trivialize any injustice. Nacho Libre has operated peacefully in the Rosemont-La Petite-Patrie region of Montreal for over five years. Customers who frequent our establishment know that sometimes we use dark humour in our advertising and promotions, and it is usually very well received. We must admit that in this case, the joke was in very bad taste. This is a serious error of judgment on our part and please accept our most sincere apologies.
