Tusk and Boulud in Concert at Maison Boulud

Fresh off his turn at the Food Network South Beach Wine and Food Festival, the inexhaustible Daniel Boulud was in Montreal this week to welcome fellow Michelin-star chef Michael Tusk, of San Francisco's Quince and Cotogna, and to work with his Maison Boulud crew, led by Riccardo Bertolino, once more.

The star chef mashup, with dinners on Monday and Tuesday, was one of the more expensive events for Montréal en Lumière 2014. One patent consequence of the $175 pre-wine price tag? Little to no social media chatter or #instafood lunacy. Mercifully.

While the Montréal en Lumière events at Maison Boulud presumably drew a few Golden Square Mile power couples, none outshine noted Tusk fans Barack and Michelle Obama.
