L'Auberge Saint-Gabriel chef Éric Gonzalez was in Las Vegas over the weekend to take part in a big Maître Cuisinier de France gala and accept his appointment to the club. With him was Montreal pal and fellow Maître member Jérôme Ferrer of Europea.
As part of the General Assembly of French Master Chefs, the duo had a chance to hobnob with the likes of superstar chef Joël Robuchon (above, with Gonzalez), Christian Tetedoie, Jean-Luc Boulay, Jean-Jacques Noguier and the de facto host of the five-day event, Venetian Palazzo executive chef Olivier Dubreuil.
Ferrer, for his part, did not have any luck at the slots but did manage to rub shoulders with royalty, of sorts.
