Jérémy Daniel-Six, chef at Micro Resto La Famille (left, with brother Maxime), arguably the happy surprise of 2013, has left the diminutive Plateau restaurant. Here, a translation of his statement left today on Facebook.

The last year was filled with smiles, stories, and beautiful, rich encounters. We thank you. You inspired us to exceed as much as you have enriched us. We will always be grateful for your loyalty and your trust.

But now Jérémy leaves La Famille for various reasons. Yes, he will miss you and you him. His colourful, creative and delicious dishes were the core of this micro bistro.

It's time to do something else, something good for him and his family. Do not worry, this is not the last time you will see this Rasta chef in the kitchen. He has in mind new projects to be born by the end of 2014.
