It was Royal Canadian Monday at Pastaga yesterday. The guest of honour, Todd Perrin of Mallard Cottage in Quidi Vidi Village, NL, has strong links with several Montreal chefs. The seven-course menu featured dishes like salted cod with spicy white bean stew and steamed wild berry pudding with hard sauce. Perrin offered this enthusiastic post-mortem: "Pretty happy.
