Rosalie, fresh off a shift from the Buonanotte group to new owners, unveils Galt tomorrow. The third floor boîte-cum-cabaret will cater to the 5 à 7 Downtown horde but nocturnal types as well, with live DJ sets and, from time to time, burlesque and circus performers. The bar promises a solid cocktail, wine and Scotch whisky list and a tidy menu of bites from the Rosalie kitchen.
Here, a statement from management.
Galt, located at 1232B de la Montagne, offers Montrealers and those visiting from out of town a different kind of bar. Part Speakeasy and part Cabaret, Galt offers its guests a comfortable environment to unwind after work, with entertainment including fire-eaters, contortionists, and musicians on Wednesdays and Thursdays. The bar menu, featuring Quebec specialties such as rabbit with foie-gras, venison tartar, and pizza lunga, changes weekly. As night approaches, the music lifts and the lights dim as Montreal's best DJs help the city celebrate its unique joie de vivre as patrons dance until the early hours of the morning.
