Lobster Ramen, Curry Beignets on Saka-Ba! Menu

On the face of it, Junichi Ikematsu's new ramen bar seems like the perfect counterpunch to Jun i, the chef's upscale sushi restaurant on Laurier. While the Saka-Ba! menu is a compact affair, it hits all the appropriate notes on paper— think yakitori, karaage, gyoza and curry doughnuts. Ramen too, obviously, and, soon, a tidy selection of choice sakes, bourbons, bitters, beers and wines.
