Fresh off a job fair that presumably narrowed down a prospective pool of employees, Labarake, Rosemont's most anticipated new restaurant, has released a teaser set of photographs on Facebook.
The black and white shots depict, in part, the extensive refurb currently taking place at the former Canadian Pacific Railway Angus Shops fire station on Rachel Est, as it transforms into a "restaurant de quartier" that serves "une cuisine du terroir" for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Principals in the ambitious project include Andy Aboushaybeh, owner and operator of Les Terrasses Bonsecours, Emmanuel Besnier, director of operations at L'Auberge St-Gabriel and Denis Sobolj, general manager at Les Terrasses Bonsecours and a graphic designer and photographer. Chef Éric Gonzalez, notably, late of L'Auberge St-Gabriel and now executive chef at Les Enfants Terribles, was solicited for assistance with the overall vision and menu.
