Bafflingly, Montreal's first cat café recently met a Kickstarter-like target of $40,000.00, thanks to more than 1,000 donors, and is set, apparently, to open this summer in the Plateau. The project's spiritual pilot is one Clément Marty, a nomadic sort whose LinkedIn profile includes recent stints as a beach attendant in Nice, a farmhand in Bundaberg, Australia, a temp in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu and a security guard in Chicoutimi.
