Le Continental to Close After Almost Three Decades

Beloved bistro shutters.

Le Continental will serve a final bavette and horse tartare this Saturday, May 3. The bistro fixture on Saint-Denis and Duluth, long popular with francophone movers and shakers in the arts and media, will shutter for good as new management takes over and ownership looks to other projects down the line.

Here, translated, the announcement made by the restaurant this week:

Le Continental takes a bow!

Your beloved Le Continental, or "Le Conti" as you lovingly called it, will close its doors next week so the new owners can welcome you in a new atmosphere.

We welcome you with a twinge of the heart until Saturday, May 3 inclusive, and hope new customers and regulars will come celebrate with us and share a nightcap.

In this regard, Alain, Laurent, Ève and the team would like to thank the magnificent procession of customers, regulars and loyal friends who have accompanied us during all these years (almost 27 years for some!).

It is with passion that we have served you and we hope you had memorable evenings in our company.

Alain, Laurent and Ève would like to express their gratitude to the entire staff, without whom none of this would have been possible; all the kitchen brigades, the tireless and talented chefs and of course the incomparable service teams. All have done their best to insure Le Conti was like no other.

Rest assured, Laurent and Alain are never far away and you can find them this summer on the Plateau for a new project.

A big thank you for all the memories we've shared, we will treasure them always.
