Bar Wire

The pilot project to extend last call at some Montreal bars on Crescent and St-Denis is dead in the water. CBC News: "The province's alcohol and gaming board has rejected the City of Montreal's pilot project to allow some downtown bars to extend their hours and serve alcohol until 5:30 a.m." Mayor Denis Coderre, who led the proposal, calls the decision a "lost opportunity" for the city.
