PLATEAU— A preview of Le Sieur d'Iberville (above). The new baby from Stephen Leslie (Monkland Tavern, Tavern on the Square) and Mike and Greg Silas (Typhoon Lounge) looks good to go. Get your recap of the project on the corner of Mont-Royal and d'Iberville here and here. [Instagram]

GRIFFINTOWN— Bloggers, publicists and restaurants often make for strange bedfellows in Montreal but one restaurant has taken it a step further. The Griffintown outpost of Sushi Taxi recently had five bloggers concoct items for the restaurant's summer menu. [maybejefflee]

WORLD CUP— Several Montreal restaurants have gone the extra mile for the 2014 FIFA World Cup but few more than Gus. [Twitter]

WORLD CUP— Magpie will be open days, exceptionally, throughout the World Cup. Proceeds from Carlsberg beer sales will benefit SVP Mile End, a charity run by owner Peter Popovic that supports the Montreal Children's Hospital. Get a pizza and some pints and enjoy the games. [Facebook]

QUARTIER DES SPECTACLES— Now we can call it. The second Accords restaurant from Tout le monde en parle host Guy A. Lepage and co. officially opens ce soir on the corner of Saint-Laurent and Sainte-Catherine. Just in time for Les FrancoFolies too. [Facebook]

FOOD MEDIA— Former Voir food critic Gildas Meneu muses: is it time for the SAQ to go private? [gourmet-galopin]
