Névé, the popular coffee pusher on the corner of Rachel and de Bullion, has set up shop in the brick and mortar outpost of trendy online men's haberdasher Frank & Oak. The development confirms Saint-Viateur's status as the city's caffeinic artery par excellence, what with the likes of Myriade, Olimpico, Brooklyn and Falco (on de Gaspé) not for away.
The espresso bar shares space with racks of casual but stylish duds and a small barbershop. Parner Gabriel Rousseau, who had been in talks with Frank & Oak for months, is happy with the synthesis.
"The biggest compliment I've received is from a customer who walked in our first day and said, 'Hey, has this always been here?'"
While the café is very much open, Rousseau affirms that the new Névé is in proverbial soft launch mode. A more formal announcement will be made sometime next week.
