Peter Morentzos let Eater Montreal photographer Randall Brodeur in his lavish reboot of La Queue de Cheval over the weekend. The result pretty much lives up to what Montreal diners have come to expect from the larger-than-life restaurateur.
If you like your surf and turf restaurants big, bold and brassy, the opulent de la Montagne spot will not disappoint. The new La Queue de Cheval sprawls over two levels, with dark wood, crimson leather accents, chandeliers and a massive open grill replete with a mammoth copper exhaust hood.
A back alley burger restaurant is open as of today. The flagship steakhouse, with Angry Lobster bar in tow, will open sometime in July.
