The facelift of Laurier BBQ is almost complete as new partners Jeff Stinco, Éric Le François and Cindy Simard look to reboot the restaurant that shut down in 2013 amid a run of management missteps.
The makeover from Rebecca Bourque is considerable - the designer had over 8,000 square feet over two floors and a basement to contend with. Chef Hakim Chajar will evidently have a state-of-the-art kitchen in Laurea at his disposal and, as the photos indicate, the Lorbeer side of the two-in-one project will double as a platform for the West Shefford brewery that Stinco now owns.
Above all, however, what the photos divulge is that the space is impressive - and massive. The obvious challenge for the new stewards of the old Laurier BBQ will be to fill it on a consistent basis.
