Meat on a Stick Threesome

Behold, the final Meat on a Stick Power Hour dispatch from contributor Vanessa Butler. Whose Asian-inflected meat on a stick reigns supreme in Montreal? With Japanese izakaya grub oh so de rigueur, yakitori is suddenly front of mind. Saka-ba! - from chef Junichi Ikematsu - offers patrons chicken and beef at $6 a pair. Then there is the beloved Kazu Downtown, where the yakitori house sauce is well worth the wait. Over in the Sud-Ouest, Southeast Asian street food swamis Satay Bros whip up sublime skewers (see photo) in Atwater Market by summer and in brick and mortar digs the rest of the year.
