12 Montreal Bars Compete for Best in Canada

Photo: Big in Japan Bar, Randall Brodeur

enRoute, Air Canada's inflight travel magazine best known for its annual list of Canada's best new restaurants, has partnered with Rickard's to crown the country's favourite bar.

With the help of a national panel of barflies, cocktail connoisseurs, and dedicated drinkers, we've compiled a list of more than 100 watering holes from coast to coast. From classic to cool — and everywhere in between — each one offers a great taste of local culture. But only one can take the coveted top position.

A dozen Montreal bars are up for the title. Click below to register and vote for your favourite:
· 132 Bar Vintage
· 5295 Parc Ave (The Emerald)
· Big in Japan Bar
· Burgundy Lion
· La Champagnerie
· Clébard
· Datcha
· Furco
· Huis Clos
· Le Mal Nécessaire
· Miss Villeray
· Philémon

Does this list of Montreal bars feel complete? Is it odd that British Columbia (23) has as many bars on the list as Ontario and five more than Quebec (18)? Well, this is what the comments section is for. Feel free to chime in.
