Le Trèfle, a New Irish Pub in HoMa

Actor Rémi-Pierre Paquin (Les Invincibles, among other film and television projects) is a principal in a new Irish pub in Hochelaga-Maisonneuve. Le Trèfle is an offshoot of a Trois-Rivières pub of the same name. One Martin Veillette is a co-partner in both establishments.

"We're in renovations and our goal is to open for St. Patrick's Day," Paquin told Le Huffington Post Québec last October. "I'll give the time that I can to the project. If I work a lot, I'll be less present but when I'm less busy, I'll be there."

The mid-March timeline did not pan out, obviously, but Le Trèfle is now set to open any day now. The pub will offer a considerable assortment of suds - 32 on tap and a further 80 by the bottle.

While the original Le Trèfle food menu in Trois-Rivières seems run-of-the-mill on paper, HoMa punters may just be receptive to well-made pub grub.

This description of the new venture comes from Le Trèfle's Facebook page:

Located in the heart of Hochelaga-Maisonneuve in Montreal on Ontario Est. Le Trèfle invites you to taste more than 100 of the best beers, renowned Scotch Whisky and a varied, quality bistro menu

As soon as you step foot inside you will be impressed by the beauty of the surroundings. Stone walls, hardwood floors and a copper-top bar. All of which gives our Irish pub a friendly atmosphere.

Whether to meet friends or get together as a group, our team offers a warm and cordial atmosphere. And if you are alone, you will not stay so for long.

Sports fans can follow all the great hockey, soccer, football and many other sporting events on our HDTV giant screens.
