Westmount has a new pizza slinger, thanks to chef Angelo Mercuri of Restaurant Vago on Greene and partners Benjamin Trimont and Tommaso Mulè.
More on the pizzeria from a Bacaro spokesperson.
As you probably know, the Mercuris are well-known in Montreal for their culinary establishments with several members of the family involved in some of Montreal's finest eateries.
The concept behind this restaurant is inspired by the bustling Venetian taverns, or bacaros, which offer casual dining, often ideal for pairings with some young wines or cocktails. They will be serving pizzas and pastas cooked in a wood-burning oven, cichetti (the Italian version of tapas) and salads, along with a series of Nutella-based desserts.
