Grenade, a new cocktail and "snack bar oriental" is now open in the Village, on the corner of Ontario and de Champlain in the old Citibar. The new venture from serial entrepreneur François Forest (see Barraca, Helm, Rachel Rachel, Quai No. 4, Bar Inc., Taverne Normand, Monsieur Smith) offers affordable drinks (all come in at $8.75) and a modest lineup of Asian-y street food. The menu of populist items includes pork belly buns, honey duck wings and whole fried fish. A small wine and beer list complements the cocktail carte. Oh and terrasse.
Grenade is open Monday to Sunday from 3:00 p.m. to 3:00 a.m. Cocktail and food menus below.
