Two restaurants on St-Viateur will celebrate their openings on Thursday, September 4.
The Green Panther, or La Panthère Verte, recently relocated from the corner of St-Viateur and Clark to much larger digs on St-Viateur and Casgrain. The vegan-friendly lunch counter, food truck operator and caterer will offer appetizers, local and organic wine, craft beer and live music from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The restaurant wants to incentivize people to sign up for the event too.
Meanwhile, closer to the original Green Panther, Bishop & Bagg will finally throw an official welcome-us-to-Mile-End bash between 5:00 p.m. and midnight. Management discloses that although the pub had a soft opening on February 21, "we have been struggling with a very uncooperative Plateau Mont-Royal city hall to get permits to put up some signage and change our old, beat-up facade. Amid all this bureaucracy or perhaps because of it, we neglected to have our official opening."
