Le Mousso

After several weeks in proverbial soft launch mode, chef Antonin Mousseau-Rivard (he of 20,000 Instagram followers, with René Redzepi among them) is about to unleash the full brunt of his artistic stylings at his new Centre-Sud/Village restaurant, Le Mousso. The former Musée d’art contemporain de Montréal chef, son of singer Michel Rivard and actress Katerine Mousseau (herself a partner in the venture), and grandson of painter Jean-Paul Mousseau, will officially open Le Mousso this week. The self-described format at the 30-seater: "minimalist plates, with ambiance and music," and a trend-bucking prix fixe menu ($50 or $60 for seven services, Mousseau-Rivard seems unsure on the exact price). Call now to reserve.

Status: Le Mousso, 1023 Ontario Est, corner Amherst, (438) 384-7410. Now open Wednesday to Saturday.
