Chef Hakim Chajar will get his own television show on CASA next August, reports Le Soleil today. The shift from behind the stove to behind the camera cements Chajar's departure from Laurea, the year-old makeover of the old Laurier BBQ. Chajar has reportedly not cooked at Laurea since the summer. The restaurant's new chef, Soufiane Ghanmi, previously served under Chajar as chef de cuisine.
The tentative title of Chajar's new show, which will comprise thirteen thirty-minute episodes, is L'inspiration d'un chef. The 34-year-old ITHQ grad first made a name for himself on the small screen with his performance on the culinary competition show Les Chefs!, and, notably, on Les Chefs! - La revanche, which he won in 2014. Television aside, Le Soleil writes that Chajar has other projects on tap.
