— The Plateau has a new café, at 5271 Saint-Denis, corner Boucher. The as-yet-nameless establishment serves sandwiches, viennoiseries, and a variety of coffee drinks. See photo above.
— White truffle season is upon us, and a number of Montreal restaurants are on board. Maison Boulud, in particular, has embraced the highfalutin fungi, and will feature a truffle dégustation from chef Riccardo Bertolino and company until November 18. Call (514) 842-4224 to reserve.

— Another new wave gourmet grocery store has come to Montreal. Partners behind Saint-Henri's Marché La Pantry were previously involved in Ludger, until that bar-restaurant underwent a mysterious management shakeup last April. La Pantry is closed until November 16 for some adjustments.
— New HoMa restaurant Lapin Blanc held a food blogger/media event on November 10, and took a shit-ton of photos.
