Meet ÊAT, the New Montreal Restaurant Inside the W Hotel

The W hotel's bygone Ristorante Otto will get a formal replacement next month when ÊAT opens. The non-SEO-optimized name stands for "être avec toi", or, in English, "to be with you." Veteran New York City chef Alan Ashkinaze, best known for his work under Michelin-star chef Laurent Manrique, and whose most recent kitchen stint was at the revamped Gallaghers Steakhouse in Midtown Manhattan, will curate a "a seafood-based menu of shareable cuisine." Toulon native Sébastien Giannini, late of the Fairmont Le Reine Elizabeth and Canada's Bocuse d'Or brigade, will serve as executive chef at the hotel restaurant.
