Meet ÊAT, the New Montreal Restaurant Inside the W Hotel

Adieu Otto.

W Montréal

The W hotel's bygone Ristorante Otto will get a formal replacement next month when ÊAT opens. The non-SEO-optimized name stands for "être avec toi", or, in English, "to be with you." Veteran New York City chef Alan Ashkinaze, best known for his work under Michelin-star chef Laurent Manrique, and whose most recent kitchen stint was at the revamped Gallaghers Steakhouse in Midtown Manhattan, will curate a "a seafood-based menu of shareable cuisine." Toulon native Sébastien Giannini, late of the Fairmont Le Reine Elizabeth and Canada's Bocuse d'Or brigade, will serve as executive chef at the hotel restaurant. Expect to eat at ÊAT sometime in December. Until then, peep this video teaser.
