— Advances at Agrikol, the anticipated Centre-Sud-Gay-Village restaurant project from Arcade Fire and Toronto's The Black Hoof, include a spectacular mural from artist Roland Jean. Jen Agg, Hoof matriarch, and Jean's wife, shared some hints recently on Instagram.

— Thai chef Jesse Mulder returns to Little Italy's Bethlehem XXX this weekend with his insane Chak Wow pop-up.

Loïc, the buzzy new Saint-Henri bar, will kick off a sequence of Sunday wine soirées this weekend. It all starts at 8:00 p.m., with wines from Jean-Pierre Robinot (L'Ange Vin) and grub from chef Liam Barron front and centre.

— Downtown Montreal's cocktail scene just got a lift, thanks to relatively new bar Pistolero's revamped drinks menu.

— Plateau's Spanish/Basque restaurant, Pintxo, will intro weekend brunch service next week.

— Chef Antonio Park's new signature menu is now on offer at popular Old Montreal supper club, Flyjin.

Ariane Krol reviews chef Fisun Ercan's Turkish brunch at BarBounya this week for La Presse. The critic cites a lack of consistency with the menu and service, but likes the Mile End restaurant enough to recommend it.

— Is Verdun barbecue mecca Blackstrap about to put sausage on the menu?

— Brewpub par excellence Brasserie Harricana just expanded a beverage menu that was pretty prodigious to start with. Look for more beers on tap, and homemade soda and kombucha too.

Fiorellino, the new café-restaurant from Buonanotte, is live on Instagram now. ICYMI, Erik Mandracchia (Le Bremner, Impasto) is in as chef. The restaurant will offer wood-fire pizzas, but will not be a pizzeria per se. Owner Massimo Lecas told Eater months ago that this is "what Buonanotte would have looked like if we had opened it today instead of 23 years ago."
