Petite Maison, chef Danny St-Pierre's long-anticipated Montreal restaurant, is now open for groups. Soft launch mode for the new Mile End restaurant, located below POP Montréal's office at 5589 avenue du Parc, includes a $50 prix fixe menu for 15 to 30 people, available Thursday to Saturday. St-Pierre speculated months ago to Eater that success for the new project would depend on the ability to "send out quality food made with quality ingredients at a reasonable price." The tentative menu plan (see below) is to dish up starters to share and mains that "have an identity." As for layout, Petite Maison is divided into three spaces: an entrance "garden" room, a bar area, and a salon/private room. Staff includes chef Samuel Josquin (ex L'Autre Version), and sommelière Michelle Ouellete, late of Lawrence, and Graziella. Look for Petite Maison to open in earnest sometime in January.
