The W Montréal's new restaurant, ÊAT, will welcome customers as of this Friday, December 4. The facelift of the old Otto was executed in tandem with the MASSIVart agency. ÊAT's extravagant appropriation of Montreal street and pop art includes instantly recognizable works by the likes of Whatisadam and Stikki Peaches. Food-wise, ÊAT will serve "a seafood-based menu of shareable cuisine" curated by veteran New York chef Alan Ashkinaze, and executed by Sébastien Giannini, late of the Fairmont Le Reine Elizabeth and Canada's Bocuse d'Or brigade. Lunch service will start at the hotel restaurant on December 14. Peep menus here, and this Instagram gallery of ÊAT's VIP/media launch.
