With a barber, and menswear tie-in.

Downtown Montreal will get a tidy new bar today when Cloakroom opens at 4 p.m. The self-described "bespoke speakeasy" is part of Maison Cloakroom, a handmade menswear and barbershop from Louis Andrew Ialenti, who also owns just such a store in Brisbane, Australia, and Sacha Iovino. As for the bar itself, it looks like JP Haddad, (formerly of Globe, now a principal at buzzy supper club Soubois), is involved—see Instagram hints below.

Status: Bar Cloakroom, 2175 de la Montagne, (514) 284-9393, soft opens today from 4 p.m. to 1 a.m.
