Looks Like Little Italy's Goût4U Is Done For

That name was a bad omen.

Goût4U

A close observer of Little Italy's restaurant scene reports on Chowhound that Goût4U has closed. The poorly named restaurant from principals Renato Cantoni and Dimitri Pintar (Eurogusto Wine & Spirits, Les produits Eurogusto Canada, Les Sélections Soly Leblanc—Vita e Vino) was an enigma from the start, and never took off in a part of the city rife with staunch competitors. Management described the restaurant, "Tappetizers" and all, as "a unique project in Quebec" and "a showcase for Italian wines and regional food products." Goût4U also aimed to "become a platform of Italian taste where professionals have the time and the pleasure of sharing their passion and knowledge with customers on the lookout for new trends." The restaurant's last Facebook update, on November 20, promised a new chef, and new menu. So much for that.
