Tastet reports today that 31-year-old chef Antonin Mousseau-Rivard, who runs the kitchen at Le Contemporain in the Musée d’art contemporain de Montréal, will soon open Le Mousso on the corner of Ontario and Amherst. The 40-seater has a bar permit and will serve "minimalist plates, with ambiance and music."
As Tastet points out, Mousseau-Rivard has quite the pedigree. The chef is the son of actress Katerine Mousseau (a business partner in the venture) and singer Michel Rivard and the grandson of painter Jean-Paul Mousseau and actress Dyne Mousso. Expect a bit of artistry from Le Mousso's kitchen, in other words. Look for the restaurant to open this spring. Take a look at some of the work in progress so far.
