Brace for a New Jewish Deli and Ice Cream Parlor in Saint-Henri

A different concept for the Sud-Ouest.

Déli Sokołów

Déli Sokołów, a Jewish deli, diner, ice cream parlor, breakfast and brunch restaurant, will open soon in the bygone Restaurant John at 4350 rue Notre-Dame Ouest, corner Sainte-Marguerite, in Saint-Henri. Principal Shayne Gryn reports that the new venture will be "something in the vein of Bens. A Jewish deli with burgers, fries, poutine, varenekes, latkes, matzo ball soup." A counter will offer well-sourced "good quality ice cream."

The restaurant will start with breakfast and lunch for now but will add dinner service. "There aren't many places to eat around here late evenings and there's a burgeoning bar scene. We want to capitalize on that," reports Gryn. Look for Déli Sokołów to open in "a matter of weeks."
