The famed home of the Big Ed burger, 4 a.m. short order staples and next-day hangover cures, is up for sale. Moe's Casse-Croute du Coin has served Montreal well, 24 hours a day, since 1958. For decades, the diner was a pre- or post-concert and hockey game must. The family business has had a tougher time of it, however, since the makeover of the Montreal Forum. A spokesperson for Moe's confirms today that the restaurant has been privately listed for an undisclosed sum.
Update: Moe's made it abundantly clear today, via Twitter, that it is very much still open.
To clarify (again), we aren't CLOSING, the business is being sold. evidently the new owners will do what they will, but we aren't CLOSING!!!
