Lavanderia is awash in praise.

Fresh off three fat stars in the Gazette, Antonio Park and partners' second restaurant on Victoria gets a nod from Marie-Claude Lortie. The La Presse critic calls Lavanderia "fort agréable" and "fort sympathique." In spite of a few service hiccups, the restaurant "mérite d'être découverte" thanks to the simultaneously original and accessible cuisine. Sides, from a chayote salad to ceviches to empanadas, all succeed. Lortie skips the restaurant's parrillada completa and opts for other meaty fare like Gaspor pork meatballs ("impeccablement réalisé"), hanger steak ("cuite juste comme il le faut") and Arctic char with vegetables ("impeccable"). A duo of South American-inflected desserts registers well and elicits this final summation: "Délicieux et souriant. Comme tout le repas."
