There's hope for the restaurant scene on pedestrian Prince Arthur yet. First there was Négasaké, a Korean Japanese restaurant, in late March. Now El Patron is here to help spruce up the commercial strip just off Saint-Laurent. The restaurant, with several partners at the helm, all natives of Mexico, has been open for a few weeks now. Nachos and quesadillas aside, El Patron's menu (below) is a departure from some of the standard Mexican fare in the city. Open seven days a week for lunch and dinner, with breakfast to come. This could be a boon for the neighbourhood. Plus, margaritas.
Status: El Patron, 64 Prince Arthur Est, open seven days week, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. for now.
