Back in October 2014, Frunchroom shut down to make way for Italian concept Vicolo. Now, just months after opening, Vicolo is calling it quits as well. Montreal Info hinted at rumors of a closure last week, and, just moments ago, the restaurant made it official on Twitter.
A press release from Vicolo states it has "officially ceased operations," due to "escalating costs and below than forecasted revenue expectations."
After the shutter of Frunchroom, Eater spoke with principal Mohamad Turkieh, and he cited a cash crunch and slow months as the reason for locking the doors. It sounds like Vicolo didn't fare much better in the same location. Could this be a case of a cursed address?
