Pandore, the swanky restaurant-slash-cocktail bar on the top floor of the La Vitrine Culturelle complex on the corner of Saint-Laurent and Sainte-Catherine, has a new chef. The arrival of Louis Roy Potvin (Avocado traiteur, Le P'tit Plateau, Café de l'Usine C) coincides with the supper club's first anniversary and, crucially, terrasse season.
Pastry chef Éric Champagne, late of Verses and H4C, is also part of the kitchen shuffle. The restaurant describes Potvin's approach thusly: "The new chef’s menu places an emphasis on fresh, quality ingredients. In fact, Louis specializes in local cuisine, combining seasonal products with the Main’s multicultural influences."
Potvin will showcase his talents alongside the likes of Marc-André Jetté (Kitchen Collectif), Joe Mercuri (Mercuri) and Marc Gaffney (Lucille’s Oyster Dive) at a special event at Pandore on May 18. Contact the restaurant for details.
